In this 6 week virtual workshop for ages 10+, students will learn how to design & construct a mini, digital, & half-page zine based on their organizing needs. We will also explore the history of zine making & self-publishing in radical organizing, and their relevance in today’s world. 

Each session meets online, 12-2p on Sundays starting September 29, 2024 and ending November 3, 2024.

Break The System: A Radical Archive is a protest pop-up art installation of limited edition zines, prints, and protest ephemera spanning the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s.

Hosted October 26, 2024 in New London, Connecticut, the pop-up will feature an outdoor zine library, vinyl record set with DJ Lord Lewis the Velvet Knight, protest stickering, mutual aid shop by CT Grapevine, activities for all ages, sliding-scale zine + bake sale, and so much more!

Join Ty from Magik Press at the Nest Arts Factory monthly Bazaar in Bridgeport! They’ll be there with zines, art prints, and other Magik Press goodies for sale. Stop in and say hello!

This lively, indoor bazaar takes place at the Nest Arts Factory studios in Bridgeport, where 30 resident artists ranging from printmakers, to clay artists and other mixed media create. This event will feature refreshments and music from the resident musicians.

Come stickering with Magik Press! In this workshop, we’ll break down the radical tradition of stickers and stickering as a form of protest and activism. This workshop will be a field trip, where you’ll join Magik Press on a walking tour of New Haven area.

All participants will meet us at a designated meeting spot. Participants can stay for the entire workshop or leave whenever they like. All participants are required to wear a mask throughout the entire workshop. Participants can take as many breaks as they need.

Workshop attendance is pay-what-you-can to support the hosts for their time and expertise. No one turned away for lack of funds (NOTAFLOF). Attendees can purchase sticker packs from Magik Press or bring your own. Meet-up location will be shared via email once you sign-up.

For ages 18+ if coming alone, or ages 13+ if accompanied by a parent.
