If you're here, this is for you…

Break The System: A Radical Archive debuted as an exclusive art pop-up of limited edition zines, prints, and protest ephemera. This one-day-only installation served as a protest against the lack of available housing and arts spaces while plenty of abandoned property sits wasted in our cities. The exhibit took over the outside of a forgotten and crumbling storefront, and filled it with archived protest materials + a liberation altar before getting shut down by the long absent landlord on the day of the event. Slumlords can’t stop tides of protest though, and the event + mutual aid distro continued across the street while the exhibit hung in defiance throughout the day.

Hosted October 26, 2024 in New London, Connecticut, the pop-up featured an outdoor zine library, vinyl record set with DJ Lord Lewis, protest stickering, FREE mutual aid giveaway by CT Grapevine, a sliding-scale zine + bake sale, and so much more!

Along with the in-person exhibit, a website housing the digital collection will be released soon. This is a resource for artists, organizers, educators and activists fighting for liberation from systemic oppression.
